Role  1. Acts on common matters which affect all member'sinterests.
2. Negotiates with: - Public authorities
- Organised agricultural associations
- Department of Trade an Industry
- Department of Customs and Excise
- Atlantis Diesel Engines
3. Discusses all matters which affect the agricultural machinery industry.
4. Canvasses new members who are involved in agriculturally related manufacturing or distribution.
5. Promotes and co-ordinates the collection and processing of agricultural machinery statistics.
6. Strives to eliminate external factors which have an effect on the price of agricultural machinery.
7. Promotes the agricultural machinery industry.
8. Collects and distributes information amongst Members.
9. Co-ordinates common actions.
10. Liaises with the media to further the objectives of SAAMA and its activities.
11. Acts on behalf of members as a distributor of information on export activities. SAAMA SERVES AS: - A forum in which matters common to its members can be discussed and the information can be distributed
- A negotiating agent which promotes the collection, analysis and publication of meaningful information about the agricultural machinery industry
- An association which co-ordinates collective actions against external factors which influence the agricultural machinery industry negatively
- A body which promotes the industry
MISSION:
SAAMA serves as a combined forum for the agricultural machinery industry in South Africa in which the interests of its members and agriculture as a whole are addressed, promoted and developed through responsible, co-ordinated discussion, action and provision of funded information about the industry as a whole. |
